The database that provides the basis for this calculator has been extended with a number of new generic datasets for typical electronic components. These datasets reflect the development which has taken place with regards to material composition of electronic components related to the implementation of the RoHS directive. Based on the information available each component has been evaluated in relation to the requirements of the directive.

No experience in using the Access software is required to use the Environmental Calculator Tool, though basic 'Excel-skills' are expected.
